Can a Keto Diet Be Ketolicious?

Keto eating is a way of keto certain type of foods that puts your body into ketosis.  Ketosis occurs when the body burns stored fats due to a build-up of acids called ketones within the body.

I found everything I needed to start a keto diet for free on the internet.  I became a keto pro, when I owned my first ketogenic diet book.  It is my go to keto resource.  My “keto bible” with low-carb, high-fat diet material that has helped me far more than just the internet.

The Complete Ketogenic Diet for Beginners: Your Essential Guide to Living the Keto Lifestyle

It just so happens it is an Amazon bestseller, which helped me pick this book.  It is a practical keto diet guide containing 158 pages divided up into three chapters:

              1.   Ketogenic Lifestyle
              2.   14-day Meal Plan
              3.   Recipes

Honestly, that’s all you really need to give you an easy start with a low-carb lifestyle.  Available in paperback for around $7 or you can get the Kindle version of this easy to follow guide for $3.  The book was first published in 2016, so you will find up to date information and popular recipes.

I love the paperback version so I can write notes to myself in the book and bookmark my favorite pages I find myself referring to often.

It is written for beginners, the guide comes with a total of 75 recipes with nutritional information.  Some recipes are easy to make, just under 30 minutes, which is absolutely perfect for my busy lifestyle.  There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free recipes included in the book.

What makes this book so special is that all the nutritional guidance and recipes are based on healthy, wholesome ingredients.  No processed information ingredients in this guide.

I am just now learning about this Keto Diet and have a few concerns about how it plays in with my Diabetes, but people are saying they have lost amazing amounts of weight eating the right fats and no sugars or processed foods. That sounds like a plan to me.

  3. This is amazing. It’s my first time as a medical student hearing about keto diet. I have always new as you stated that one start using the ketones in their body after burning up all the reserve fats and proteins in their body. It’s quite surprising for one to start eating keto foods while they have normal body fats and carbohydrates and protein.

    Plus, excess ketones in the body are dangerous. So, why do you think that people should consider this kind of diet? Or is it meant for specific people? Because I don’t see any reasons to why a normal person should take that kind of diet. I don’t mean to be bias, I am just so curious. Maybe your next post can tell us why it’s important for such diet or it’s for specific people. Please, educate us more. I will bookmark your site to read more on that please. Thank you.

      The keto diet should be considered for anyone that wants to lose weight.  People with diabetes, on heart medication, or pregnant should consult with a doctor first before starting the keto way of eating.  But anyone else that wants to lose weight knowledge is key to being successful.  I will definitely write another article addressing why the keto diet is an important diet for anyone who wants to lose weight.
